STATEMENT

about //

LUCID was started by a group of MICA students to fill the need of exhibition for digital, interactive artwork. We aim to facilitate contact between digital artists, create exposure opportunity and provide resources. Submissions for the published editions of LUCID are shown at a lab viewing and judged by a student-faculty jury. Winning artwork will be showcased on DVD with artist profile + contact information and brief text statement.

Who is eligible
Any student or group of students from any major
Collaborations are encouraged! No limit to number of submissions per artist.

What is eligible
Digital media

Artwork Criteria
Submissions must be original artwork.
Artwork has no pixel dimension limitation. Can not be a still image. Artwork can include but is not limited to:

net.art / new media / digital art / online environments / processing / code art / software art / performance / game / puzzle / Second Life / e-mail projects / internet + networked installations / video / motion / scanner art / cell phone / Flash. Sound can be implemented. Interactive works highly encouraged.

winning submissions //
Artists are featured on DVD with winning artwork submission, a brief published text statement, and contact information.


submit //
Artwork must be complete and ready for show.
Entries should include all involved files (html, image, video, sound, etc.), and must be original artwork. No Screenshots accepted.

ENTRY PACKAGES INCLUDE:
- Entry Form
- Artwork burned to a CD
- Artwork description or statement of purpose (Optional. 200 words max)
- Artist Photo (Optional)
